Our teams use technology, automation, and innovation to try and decode the world\xe2\x80\x99s biggest technological challenges in areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and more.

Context of the Role

These roles will work in an agile environment to create, deliver, and manage end to end market leading products, services and experiences across devices, network, and applications, in our Mobility product groups.

The successful candidates in these roles will work with their respective product group mission team members and Product Owners to deliver multiple products whilst working with a wide range of stakeholders in various phases of project delivery, e.g., ideation, modelling, go to market, post launch optimisation and lifecycle management.

They will work with the relevant Product Owners (POs) to develop Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and uses broad organisational and domain knowledge to describe and set the objective and direction for the work for which they have been assigned and then subsequently drive the execution of that work to ensure growth in the mobility portfolio over the coming years.

Our ultimate objective is to deliver GCM growth for the Mobility portfolio, through increased ARPU, SIOs and value for our customers.

This role, within the mobility Group, is part of ensuring the ongoing success of the Product and Technology function by working to create brilliant experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Mission Accountabilities:
As a Product Development Senior Specialist, you excel at designing, testing, and creating new products, plans and services to enhance Telstra\xe2\x80\x99s product strategies and competitive advantage. You thrive on collaborating with stakeholders to bring new product portfolios to market that deliver exceptional customer experiences and build Telstra\xe2\x80\x99s reputation as a globally innovative company.

You will also have an excellent understanding of all components of the product management lifecycle to deliver against the following responsibilities:

Responsible for thought leadership to manage and develop product solutions within a Multibrand or Future Technology Mission, part of the Product & Technology Mobility Group

Collaborate with stakeholders across other groups and functions to develop and own the product strategy and deliver capability and initiatives to drive growth for the portfolio (with guidance from the Product Owner)

Through an understanding of Market trends maximise the value the product delivers to customers and the business

Balance Mobility customer needs with profitability and capability cost

Influence the product lifecycle of this portfolio and manage a product roadmap including a prioritised list of initiatives from ideation to exits

Leverage your deep commercial acumen to track the financial / sales performance and customer satisfaction for these products across all business units

Assess customer experience gaps and apply your critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills to address these

Provide guidance to the IT build teams as a subject matter expert to ensure optimal customer experience

Actively participate and apply the Agile ways of working and mindsets when working within Telstra\xe2\x80\x99s Agile operating model

Primary Product Development Specialisation Accountabilities

Provide overarching management of the design and execution of all product development. Launch, lifecycle optimisation and exit activities

Ideate to align our product roadmap to ensure product build incorporates and meets product quality standards

Serve as the customer advocate, actively gathering feedback and insights to inform product development decisions, ensuring that customer needs and preferences are considered throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Define product feasibility, impacts and dependencies across constructors and the value chain

Monitor and optimise Product design and cost

Drive product delivery and support associated launch activity (go to market, sales enablement)

About You

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

Essential

Proven experience working as either a Product Manager or Product Specialist for at least 5 year

Successful track record operating in an agile environment; participating in daily stand-ups, backlog management, sprint planning, sprint demos and retrospectives

Balance of strategic mindset and operational ability to develop and execute to a plan
Ability to engage with and influence a range of stakeholders at all levels on technical and commercial matters

Focused on continual learning and improvement for self, proven experience in analytical and product roles

Ability to quickly analyse complex problems and work with leader to provide direction for implementation

Bachelor of Technology (Engineering) or Bachelor of Business Administration

Highly desirable

Strong knowledge of the Telecommunication and IT industries in Australia

Understanding of the Mobility product set

Master of Business Administration
