Job Description
Affiliation: UTSAAH Lab, CPDM, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore Preferred Background: \xe2\x80\xafPursuing or completed any degree in Product Design or Industrial Design or Fashion Technology Essential Skills Required:
- Strong skills in sketching, ideation, and user interaction
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD model making, 3D printing and rendering
- Strong knowledge about ergonomics and usability requirements
- Knowledge about design-for-assembly and design-for-manufacturing methods
- Good with rapid iterative development of mock ups and testable design units
- Good with development of finished prototypes using 3D printing, acrylic, MDF boards and other materials
- Knowledge about materials, and/or experience working with technical wearable garment products is a plus
- An analytical mind and good documentation skills
- Understand clinical and technical requirements of the product, develop advanced embodiment designs, and create industrial design forms for the same
- Create CAD models, rendered and digitised outputs, and well-finished prototypes in coordination with the engineering team
- Perform usability testing and studies with potential end users as per protocols
Contract length: 6 months Salary: 94,000.00 - 912,000.00 per month Benefits:
