We have an urgent opening for the position of Product Design Engineer for a reputed Foundry Industry for Kolkata (Kulgachia Plant) location.
Responsibilities:-

• Preparing the Feasibility review, Process flow and control plan.
• Create the Pattern and core box design, 3D model and 2D drawing .
• Checking the 3D pattern model from pattern supplier end. \xc2\xb7
• Design the layout of pattern. \xc2\xb7 Pattern mounting layout.
• Preparing stage drawing for casting.
• Preparing fixture drawing for casting as well as machining parts

Candidate profile:

• Technically competent professional, completed B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) with 4+ years of experience in the areas of Design and Development for Casting Products.
• Currently working developing the Casting products.
• New Product Development/Process Design with hands on experience in Casting Product Development (Sand casting process).
• Sharp skilled in 3D modelling (Creo ), 2D modelling (Auto CAD).
• Possess excellent assessment, visualization and design skills for automotive or non-automotive casting components manufacturing.
• Good knowledge on pattern layout/ Tool design.
• Well versed in Casting Design / methoding system (Riser, Gating & Chill design).
• SG Iron casting gatting design.
• 3D modelling & 2D sketches by Pro-e & Auto Cad.
• Expert in SOFTCAST V4.0 casting simulation software.
• Excellent knowledge of foundry defects analysis & troubleshooting.
• Excellent skills in drawing reading.
• Design of Gating system and Casting defect resolution
• A Teamplayer with good verbal and written communication.
• Experience in GD&T, preparation of 2D drawings.
• Experience in casting layout inspection.
• Preparing the Feasibility of product, Process Flow and Control Plan for new product development both automotive and non-automotive casting.
