About the Role:

Lead, improve and sustain the end-to-end (E2E) Product Cost Planning governance for the Small Molecules portfolio, enabling an effective review of Total Production Costs (TPC) / Unit Costs roadmaps and decision-making process to ensure product cost targets are met for the Small Molecules portfolio, for the key Brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead cross-functional teams involving all stakeholders within NTO (Portfolio Management, SCM LTDCP, Technology Platform Strategy, DS & DP manufacturing sites including ESO, Finance) to assess, reconcile and consolidate TPC / Unit cost estimates / projections for the entire small molecules portfolio, including pre-alignment of underpinning assumptions and improvement plans.
  • Facilitate the quarterly E2E TPC Roadmap process for the entire Small molecules (i.e. Biologics and Non-biologics, aseptics products) portfolio, including consolidation and reconciliation of inputs and information in a comprehensive deck to enable efficient review of changes and plans, and decision making process during TPC Roadmaps quarterly reviews within NTO, organization and facilitation of the TPC Roadmaps preparation & final review meetings, write/issue meeting minutes, follow-up on actions decided including initiation of gap-closing activities and communication of the approved plan to the stakeholders.
  • Support TPC improvement initiatives as part of the Cost Leadership program for Small Molecules (process among organization and work closely with other functions to drive), in close collaboration with Portfolio Management (SPLs) and TPs Strategy, and DS & DP site OpEx Heads
  • Monitor execution of TPC improvement projects and ensure project plans are updated in case of major change in timelines or business benefits - Ensure past demonstrated performance is analyzed on a regular basis and learnings are shared with management and used to shape future, credible Product Cost plans.
  • Leads product specific sensitivity and profitability analysis and site to site costs comparison and suggests best optimal supply set-up from financial perspective (including preparation of site interactive maps with technology, capacity and financial overview).
  • Advise and support teams in the assessment of best DS and DP supply points to develop recommendations for product allocation decision by Supply Point Committee (SPC) / Supply Point Board (SPB) and other relevant goverment bodies, in line with for the Small Moleclules portfolio.
  • Contribute with TPC evaluation and impact analysis to strategic decision-making on new capacity investment (E-CAR), product insourcing (BD&L deals), product/volumes allocation (SPC/SPB) & product LCM projects (OpEx projects, NonPro requests).
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement of the product Costing / TPC Roadmaps governance process (e.g. identify improvement areas, alignment with stakeholders, define and implement action plan) - Keep Product costing manual and E2E TPC estimation manual up to date.
Role Requirements

Essential Requirements:
  • 5+ yrs equivalent multi / cross functional experience.
  • Previous work in international and multidisciplinary global TechOps teams and broad operational experience, with an understanding of production process of biologics and aseptic fill & finish processes, if not, within a highly regulated environment.
  • Expert in finance and financial tools, including ERP systems
  • Advanced planning skills and knowledge of marketing planning tools, forecasting, launch preparation and competitive intelligence
  • Proven, strong track record in strategic thinking, result orientation and project management
  • Strong leadership skills and expert team player and able to work in cross-functional/cross-divisional teams
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and intercultural
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Expert in written communications
  • Demonstrated, strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to influence and coach people and demonstrated change management skills
Desirable Requirements:
  • Business degree (MSc. in Finance / MBA), Biotech MSc, Pharmacy or equivalent scientific degree.
  • Candidates preferred from Tier-1 institutes in India.
