Job purpose:

Scope of Responsibility:

Materials and Planning manager will be responsible to ensure customer demand is met while optimizing assets of the plant. The primary accountabilities of the role include Production Planning, Planning of Raw and Pack Materials as per line scheduling, Plant Inventory control, FG Dispatch as per allocations received and ensuring compliance to Quality, EHS and FP&R.

Also an effective and valuable member of the plant leadership team, to ensure delivery of subsidiary business results. Works within a structure that requires considerable interface between the Network Operations team and HO Customer Service & Logistics team. Ties the Supply Chain to the Commercial side and the customer, and is responsible for ensuring that the Supply Chain is aligned with customer expectations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Materials and Planning Functions.
• Ensure the highest level of Customer Service is provided.
• Accountable for the Subsidiary Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and working with the entire Supply Chain organizations to maximize results.
• Interface with Network Operations and CS&L team to resolve issues, align service, inventory and financial strategies.
• Ensure greater utilization of SAP for planning and execution processes
• Manages the people, and Logistics processes to deliver site performance objectives, as measured by corporate and local KPI\'s.
• Accountable for adhering to Colgate-Palmolive, and governmental guidelines related to EHS, Quality, and Regulatory.
• Issues appropriate corporate communications regarding Situation Alerts, EHS & Quality.
• Empowers subordinates by way of training, information sharing, coaching, feedback, appraisals, and delegation, to ensure the development of people and organizational capabilities.
• Acts as a functional resource, providing support on task forces and major project support.
• Accountable for the integrity of the business processes related to finished goods inventory replenishment, and new product introductions.
• Manages monthly local production planning & inventory control plan as well as imported raw & packaging material, and deals products to be consistent with the business objectives of customer service, inventory level and cost constraints through the close coordination with Operations Manager, Sourcing and Network Operations team..
• Manages the production plan to be consistent with sales volume, marketing campaign and customer demands, to achieve business objectives, EHS policy and process simplification and standardization.
• Manages the inventory level of RM/PM.
• Manages SAP system for planning accuracy.
• Estimates new machine and tool requirement as per volume increase plan for SriCity

Required Education & Experience :

• Post Graduate in Supply Chain Management
• Over 10 years working in Supply Chain in any of Planning or Logistics or Sourcing Departments
