POSITION NAME: Procurement Operations Specialist

DIVISION OR CORPORATE FUNCTION: Finance & Procurement

REVISION DATE: 22-Nov-2022

LOCATION: KGS Bangalore

REPORTS TO: Procurement Operations Manager

SUPERVISES: None

CONTACTS: Internal: Regional Hub and Business Partners

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Primary contact for Procurement operations, liaising with Requestors of Purchase Requisitions, Plant Operations team, and Suppliers. solicit quotations, convert purchase requests into Purchase Orders for Direct and Indirect Products and Services for plant operations. Follow up with Suppliers for Order acknowledgements, timely delivery of Products and Services.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates the requisitions process, issues purchase orders, contracts, and other documents vital to the purchasing function.

Answers queries from suppliers, plant requestors and other stakeholders

Perform other procurement related support activities as assigned by management.

Process Improvements: Facilitate by providing contribution for workflow improvement initiatives or automation of repetitive transactional processes.

Investigate procurement and supply chain related issues utilizing the information available and mitigate with necessary steps to resolve the issue.

SCOPE:

  • Direct/Indirect Procurement, Order Acknowledgement, Delivery of Goods/Services in a timely manner.
  • Internal Productivity/Utilization/Accuracy/Turn Around Time/Quality KPI\'s
  • To comply with all Focal Points and departmental goals as determined at the beginning of each calendar Year.
EDUCATION:

REQUIRED:
  • Graduate / Master\'s Degree
  • Proficiency in English
  • Good PC skills are necessary including Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.
PREFERRED:
  • Expertise in MS Office Suite specifically Excel & Outlook
WORK EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in Procurement, or related Business field of study
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Open to work in Shifts
PREFERRED:
  • Experience in multiple ERP systems (SAP, Ariba, Oracle etc.)
  • Preferably gained experience in industrial or manufacturing industry
SKILLS & ABILITIES:

REQUIRED:
  • Effective communication - both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrate teamwork, pro-activeness, and flexibility in supporting business needs.
  • Display organized approach, may be expected to work independently in a highly pressure environment.
  • High degree of integrity, both personally and professionally
  • Ability to express ideas, opinion, and analysis in a clear, coherent, and logical manner.
  • Maximize project efficiency and profitability
  • Understand and deliver on the agreed SLA\'s and KPI\'s.
  • Should possess good interpersonal and excellent time management skills
PREFERRED:
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Ariba and SAP.
  • Ability to Report work on trackers/applications accurately on time.
