Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and execute procurement activities for infrastructure projects (civil, roads, bridges, utilities, etc.).
Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, and finalize suppliers/subcontractors based on technical and commercial parameters.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings and timely procurement.
Coordinate with project, engineering, and finance teams to forecast material requirements and manage budgets.
Maintain approved vendor lists; identify and develop new vendors for key materials and services.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and contractual terms.
Track and manage material delivery schedules to ensure project timelines are met.
Prepare procurement MIS reports, purchase orders, and maintain documentation for audits.
Manage logistics and coordinate with transporters for material movement to project sites.
Handle reconciliation of purchase orders, vendor bills, and resolve disputes related to materials or payments.
Monitor market trends, identify potential risks, and suggest cost-effective procurement strategies.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of infrastructure project materials, equipment, and vendor base.
Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
Proficient in ERP / SAP / MS Excel for procurement tracking.
Good communication and coordination skills with site and HO teams.
Understanding of commercial terms, taxation (GST, TDS), and contract management.
Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
