Job Description

The Procurement Counsel (Temp) will be responsible for providing legal support and guidance on procurement-related matters within the FMCG industry, specifically in the Beverages & Alcohol sector. This temporary role requires a strong understanding of legal principles and procurement processes to ensure compliance and facilitate effective contract negotiations.

• Review, draft, and negotiate procurement contracts (direct & indirect) and agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide legal advice and support to the procurement team on matters related to vendor agreements, risk management, and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address and resolve legal issues arising in procurement processes.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to procurement activities.
• Conduct legal research and provide updates on relevant laws and regulations affecting the FMCG industry.
• Assist in developing templates and guidelines for procurement contracts.
• Support the resolution of disputes or claims arising from procurement activities.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts and legal documentation.

• LL.B/LL.M
• 5-8 years of post qualification experience
• Experience in multi-jurisdiction procurement contracts (direct & indirect) is a must
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and legal compliance requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and familiarity with relevant laws and regulations.
