:

The CIB Service Improvement team performs proactive problem management, to prevent incidents around top themes. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, and implementing large thematic programs that solve the biggest, most complex technical problems causing CIB production incidents. Delivering programs at this scale requires strong collaboration with impacted application teams and senior leaders within Production Management, Application Development, Global Technology Infrastructure teams and other lines of Business. Thematic programs change based on emerging problem patterns and may be application and/or infrastructure related.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Apply problem management techniques to understand top common causes and gaps across a large volume of production incidents. Collaborate with application leads, service owners and technical experts to derive remediation solutions to address those gaps
  • Build thematic remediation programs. Define objectives, milestones, targets and steady state vision. Establish cadence with senior sponsors, stakeholders and working groups.
  • Program manage 1-3 concurrent thematic remediation programs, depending on program size and complexity, through to completion across up to 2000+ CIB applications.
  • Influence decisions on best practices and tools strategy at the CIB and/or firm wide level
  • Partner with other JPMC lines of Business to derive solutions that offer greater firm wide benefit
  • Perform intense data analysis and identify patterns, using and training our data analytics tool that leverages machine learning.
  • Ensure Known errors are managed effectively through Problem Management Lifecycle with accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Strong Program Management: Breaks down complex challenges into manageable actions, autonomously runs large multi-year programs/projects from beginning to end, and brings energy and commitment needed to drive programs forward. 3+ years program or project management experience
  • Technical Expertise & Aptitude: Can quickly understand, analyze and resolve a wide range of thematic issues that may emerge, exuding strong subject matter expertise with other technical experts, impacted parties and Management.
  • Strong Problem Management discipline: Can identify root and contributing causes of incidents, and derive comprehensive tactical and strategic actions for remediation.
  • Considerable knowledge of standards and best practices relevant to Information Technology Industry, e.g., ITIL , SDLC.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Can convey complex messages concisely and effectively to Senior Management/stakeholders and provide assurance they have both broad strategic understanding/foresight and deep understanding of technical details
  • Strong Collaborative & Influence Skills: Can collaborate with various technical partners within CIB, with Global Technical Infrastructure and with other lines of Business. Ability to influence Senior Management and stakeholders decisions, prioritize our programs and gain commitment of resources.
  • Grit: Remains calm, focused, productive and successful under pressure from multiple Senior Managers, impacted parties and aggressive timelines
  • Strong Delivery track record: Meets deadlines and works well in a fast-paced team environment while managing multiple programs, projects and work streams.
  • Skilled at identifying and implementing process improvements.
