About The Role- Primarily Focused On:

• Act as a technical leader for end-to-end development of Proof-of-Concepts for different customers.
• Be the engineering lead for understanding and supporting Quickplay lab and product initiatives.
• Act as a technical leader for providing guidance to the Video Distribution Library and UI client development teams with implementing forward looking technologies and modular client architecture.
• Help the Product Management and Lab Engineering teams with high-level estimates and clarifications around technical implementation of features and technologies.
• Help create a friendly, vibrant and cohesive environment that fosters creativity while maintaining the discipline necessary to deliver quality features on time and on budget.
• Provide inputs to implement, update or create processes and tools to enhance team's efficiency.
• Provide guidance on client design & implementation related best practices.
• Help mentor junior developers through knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with other software development teams, product teams and lab engineering teams on a regular basis.
• Produce strategy documents or design artifacts such as client architecture diagrams and sequence diagrams as needed.
• Quickplay staff reports into offices in a hybrid capacity (i.e partially at home, and partially at the office based on role/team needs) leveraging safety protocols aligned with local public health guidelines as they relate to COVID-19.

About You— Experience & Technical Requirements:

• Must have a demonstrated passion and talent for technology.
• Your experience in designing and implementing enterprise grade software is vast, spanning 10+ years.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an independent Software Developer.
• Part of your previous experience includes technical leadership.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end OTT Video solutions.
• Your previous experience includes hands-on development with native UI (Android or iOS) and cross platform frameworks like ReactNative or Flutter.
• Understanding of UI/UX technologies for mobile, Smart TV’s and Browser platforms.
• Proficiency in using SCM tools (SVN, git, maven, stash), best practices and continuous integration.
• Previously you have acted as a technical liaison for product development activities.
• You take pride in high quality software development and delivery in a timely manner.
• Familiar and comfortable with Agile development methodologies.
