About the role-
We are looking for a Design Engineer responsible for the design and delivery of various quickplay products. You will research and develop ideas for new products, technologies, components, processes and the systems used to make them. You will work to improve the performance and efficiency of existing products. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.
Primarily focused on:

• Work closely with the different engineering/development teams such as middleware, client applications, 3rd party development teams to enable them to deliver the integrated product output to quickplay customers.
• Document detailed end-to-end solution documents and diagrams.
• Provide supervision and guidance to development teams during the entire lifecycle of product development.
• Communicate directly with developers, technical leads, architects, and product owners.
• Represent “quickplay” team on customer meetings and technical discussions with 3rd party teams.
• Manage smooth working relation and partnership with 3rd party development teams, vendor teams and customer teams.
• Evaluates external product components to ensure that they are in alignment to the quickplay platform integration expectations.
• Acts as a bridge between technical and product owners during solution planning, development, and deployment.
• Write technical reports to summarise findings.
• Plan effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time, to standard and to budget.
• Develop test scenarios and test cases; review results of test cases and adjust, as needed, to meet requirements.
• Quickplay Media staff reports into offices in a hybrid capacity (i.e partially at home, and partially at the office based on role/team needs) leveraging safety protocols aligned with local public health guidelines as they relate to COVID-19.

About You-

• Over 15+ years of experience in Software Development and at least 5 years of experience in design.
• Understands video OTT design concepts and possess working experience in delivering complex OTT solutions.
• Understands OSS/BSS user, subscription, purchase, payment data models and database concepts; and possess working experience or participation in large scale user data migration from one OSS/BSS. provider to another for complex OTT transition implementations.
• Experience designing interactive applications.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels are essential. Must be detail oriented, yet creative.
