Principal Engineer (Front End Technologies)
As a Principal Engineer, you will develop complex, scalable, extensible solutions for our innovative products; make tech strategy decisions; and advocate and encourage best engineering practices. You have to make decisions for imperfect and dynamic requirements with the zeal of building it to deliver. Our engineering process is fully agile and has a really fast release cycle - which keeps our environment very energetic and fun.
What you will do:

• Architect, design and develop complex, scalable, extensible, cross functional solutions for our innovative products.
• Collaborate with the product and other partners across the company as the subject matter expert.
• Act as a problem solver for the problems for the team that require decision making with imperfect information and a variable environment.
• Plan, execute, deliver and review all projects in your domain of ownership.
• Communicate on requirements, architecture, design and development activities and choices to all team members.

Periodic Responsibilities:

• Influence senior management, advocate peers, and lead junior team members on tech strategy decisions.
• Collaborate with senior management on cross team conflict resolution; own and work on conflict resolution with support from senior management.
• Contribute to engineering tools, technology and processes feedback.

• Influence, advocate and guide best engineering ethics, standards and practices.
• Participate in engineering leadership brainstorming sessions.

We'd Love for you to Have:

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience building complex, scalable systems using JavaScript stack of technologies.
• Minimum 3 years working on building scalable systems for the same product organization.
• Demonstrated having owned and delivered multiple modules concurrently.

• Experience of development of NodeJS APIs and ability to do production debugging, troubleshooting, and performance benchmarking in middle layer based systems.
• Expert level experience building fault-tolerant and scalable platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of NodeJS framework preferably Express, TypeScript, Design Patterns.
• Advanced knowledge of front end frameworks preferably React, Backbone, Angular etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication and able to work across teams like Business, Product, Engineering, Analytics and Data Engineering.
• Deliver great results in an Agile development

• Knowledge of open-source libraries, frameworks, and scripting languages like python.
• Experience in the developing working prototypes, POCs, evaluation and integration of third-party systems and libraries independently.
• Experience in System Design of complex e-commerce systems, algorithm design and their optimization is a huge plus.
