Job Description

Principal Engineer, Infrastructure Services (With a focus on Microsoft Technologies) Job Purpose: This is a Tier 3 level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in Collaboration (VoIP) and exposure towards Microsoft Technologies, Azure, Messaging Technologies, Virtualization and Core Infrastructure services. This position will work closely with our team of Principal Engineers and Infrastructure Team to maintain, update, and introduce new functionality to the existing environment. This person will also assist in supporting the Microsoft Teams calling environment and other associated server / storage infrastructure projects will be assigned as needed.Technical Requirements:

• Ability to support, design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Teams including Teams Calling

• Demonstrated knowledge of IPPBX, Sip trunks, number porting and similar collaboration suite of products.

• Good knowledge on atleast two products among - Cisco CUBE SBC, Oracle SBC, Ribbon SBC.

• Basic knowledge of VMware (vCenter, ESXi, and Horizon View)

• Understanding of networking (IP, DHCP, DNS, data center switching)

• Understanding of enterprise storage systems

• Working knowledge or Windows PowerShell scripting experience

• Knowledge of Connectwise Manage and Automate is a plus

• Knowledge of Monitoring and Management Platforms is a plus

Typical Experience:

• 7+ years in-depth experience maintaining and supporting technology solutions that utilize technical skills described above

• Experience working directly with technical engineers and practice managers as well as nontechnical end users

Performance Abilities:

• Handles escalations from Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams.

• Must be available onsite during normal business hours.

• Must be available to be on-call for remote support escalations.

• Follow standards. Update and provide documentation of current and new processes which adhere to best practices

• Document technical problems, resolutions, and processes for assigned tasks and projects

• Follow policies and procedures for change and incident management

• Professional demeanor

• Relentless focus in delighting customers, treating colleagues regardless of position with utmost respect

• Provide updates to all teams and track activity in company CRM solution.

• Able to interact confidently with C-level executives at Client Site.
