Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Working at NTT The Electrical Engineer provides engineering design and cost management expertise for various Data Centre fit-out projects. They ensure that all proposals will meet the clients project requirements during the pre-construction phase and continue all endeavors to improve efficiency and reduce cost during the Construction Phase. They also assist the Commercial Team in ensuring that all necessary and appropriate Electrical Design Studies and Construction Drawings for projects are delivered on time, with quality and within budget. Key Role and Responsibilities:

• Review Bid Plans, Fit-out guidelines, As-built plans
• Develop RFI\xe2\x80\x99s and clarifications
• Conducts site survey to ascertain and evaluate existing facility conditions.
• Work closely with the Electrical Quantity Surveyor to ensure electrical design study during proposal phase can be used as a basis for the preparation of detailed design for construction with minimal cost implication
• Work with Electrical Quantity Surveyor in development of value engineering studies to improve the company\xe2\x80\x99s position in project bidding
• Prepare detailed electrical load calculations, single line diagram and detailed electrical layouts (lighting and power) including shop drawings
• Participate in the development of electrical equipment and power distribution equipment specifications
• Prepare design of earthing system and lightning protection systems, where needed
• Prepares Illumination study in coordination with lighting vendor/consultant
• Solve and answer various RFI\xe2\x80\x99s, RFA\xe2\x80\x99s and other queries from clients, architects, general contractors, and sub-contractors
• Review contractor submittals and change requests
• Serve as a subject matter expert for electrical power system, fire detection and alarm system design for a wide range of projects
• Coordinate systems and requirements with the architect, HVAC and plumbing designers and other disciplines necessary
• Ensure that specified engineering criteria and suitable for the proposed application, and recommend revisions, as appropriate
• Prepare sketch drawings in sufficient detail to enable CAD Operator to produce satisfactory detail drawings as required for construction and other purposes
• Attends meetings with clients, architects and engineers needed
• Work with the project management team throughout the preconstruction process in reviewing plans and specifications for constructability issues
• Seek the latest technologies related to engineering principles and practices
• Stays abreast of current codes, standards, and regulations
• Participate in investigation of technical problems and the establishment of procedures and corrective actions
• Participate in quality improvement projects to support quality and productivity goals for the company
• Provides technical support for supplier evaluations
• Comply with all security procedures and commercial in-confidence restrictions associated with work duties

• Demonstrate good communication skills in both written and verbal form to ensure that there is effective conveyance of information and instructions
• Demonstrate excellent computer skills and highly proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Display good analytical skills, ability to analyse, refine, summarise, and clearly present data and information
• Demonstrate high energy with a positive attitude
• Excellent in working with a team
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices, building codes, design techniques, and the process of creating construction documents
• Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes
• Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards
• Knowledge of power distribution systems, emergency power generator and automatic transfer switches operations and building electrical systems
• Ability to exercise judgement within procedures and practices to determine the appropriate action
• Ability to quickly assimilate new information

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• Must be a registered or Professional Electrical Engineer

• Experience in ETAP (or similar) power system analysis tool
• Experience in designing of power, lighting and auxiliary systems in accordance with technical and programmatic requirements
• Experience using design and calculation software
