Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, QA Automation Engineer
In this role, we are seeking a QA who will work across consumer-facing web, mobile, mobile app, ecommerce and the broader marketing technology space applications. This position must have a solid foundation for both consumer-facing web QA and QA automation.
Responsibilities
Experience with javascript for writing automation tests.
SQL experience required for querying
Record and analyze test results, comparing them against expected outcomes to ensure high quality
Provide insights from a user's perspective to improve the client-side experience
Enhance and mature regression testing processes, ensuring comprehensive coverage and efficiency
Design and document detailed test plans for various projects
Participate actively in an Agile development environment, contributing to daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
Lead QA efforts for web application releases, ensuring smooth transitions to production
Be available to address critical production issues, including after-hours support when necessary

Minimum Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor's degree in business information systems (IS), computer science or related field, or equivalent-related IT experience

Manual Testing Skills

• Structured Test Planning: Develop and execute thorough test plans and checklists, including last-minute verification using frameworks.
• Audience Logic & Data Validation: Ensure accuracy in audience segmentation, email content logic, and data integrity across systems.
• Privacy & Compliance Checks: Validate PII masking, data privacy protocols, and compliance standards in all environments.
• Email & Content QA: Review subject lines, preheaders, alt-text, image sizing, and rendering across devices and email providers.
• Spelling & Language Accuracy: Perform spell-checks and validate dictionary configurations across platforms and campaigns.
• Link & URL Validation: Verify tracking, redirects, and link functionality across devices and platforms.
• File & Naming Convention Testing: Test various file types, naming conventions, and path structures (e.g., long paths, reserved characters, UNC paths).
• Accessibility & Usability Testing: Validate keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, high contrast mode, and assistive device support.
• UI Behavior & Interactivity: Test dialog boxes, tooltips, tab order, and control responsiveness under different UI states.

Automated Testing Skills

• Backend & API Testing: Validate data flow, API responses, and system behavior under various network and load conditions.
• Automated Script Development: Build and maintain end-to-end workflows, including boundary condition and equivalency class testing.
• Cross-System Integration Testing: Ensure seamless data and functionality flow between backend services, ESPs, QA tools, and third-party platforms.
• Checklist & Proof Automation: Automate validation of campaign readiness, audience previews, and URL QA reports.
• Rendering & Link Validation Tools: Use tools like Inbox Monster to automate rendering checks and link validations across email clients.
• Stress & Performance Testing: Simulate low memory, high traffic, and network interruptions to assess system resilience and recovery.
