POSITION: Pre Analytical Manager REPORTS TO: Lab Director CO-ORDINATES / DUTIES HANDOVER: Senior Phlebotomist/DIC RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Adheres to policy on proper dress code and Universal Precautions (PPE) always
• Keeps the department neat, clean and well stocked with supplies for sample processing.
• Aware and prepare hypochlorite solution (0.1% for workbench and 0.5% for sharp disposal) daily as per lab safety policy.
• Segregation and safe disposal of biomedical waste.
• Records and maintains daily monitoring checklist and submit for verification.
• During the shift changes technician should take over, all the duties & responsibilities from previous technical team/check the handed over register.
• Coordinates workflow/workload as necessary to ensure timely reporting of results. Serves as resource and mentor to less experienced lab staff.

Responsible to maintain smooth functioning and monitoring the process flow of front office, phlebotomy, home collection and sample segregation. Responsible for sample collection logistics route allocation & monitor their execution. Coordinate with departments/branches for monitoring the TAT on first-cum-first out samples and their results Follow up & coordinate with marketing executives on clients needs and advisory service on tests, if needed. Plan duty roaster for the staffs in front office, phlebotomy, home collection and sample segregation. Conduct training for new employees and identify their training needs. Participate as auditee for internal audit. Verify the forms and records pertaining to the activities in of front office, phlebotomy, home collection and sample segregation. Plan & monitor the outsource tests. Forward the queries and feedbacks of customers and submit the details and corrective action to management. Capable of identify the risk, assess and submit the incident/accident records to the management. Implementation and educating the quality management system & procedure. Maintains implements, adheres to and enforces departmental operating policies and procedures to include all programs, quality control, quality assurance and safety. Verify the follow up of specimen rejection, repeat sample and bill cancellation in LIS and communicating the same to branches and customers.
