Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled PPC Head to join our team at DCS Group. As the PPC Head for our Forging Plant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production planning and control activities. This is a full-time position based in Doraha, Punjab, India. The successful candidate will have more than 10 years of experience in the industry.

Qualifications and Skills

• More than 10 years of experience in production planning and control, preferably in the forging plant industry.
• Strong knowledge of forging plant operations and production processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Good learning skills to adapt to changing technologies and industry practices.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in the casting foundry industry would be a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production planning strategies and policies to optimize operational efficiency.
• Manage the production planning and control activities, ensuring timely and accurate production plans.
• Collaborate with the production team to determine the required resources and capacity for the forging plant.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and production schedules.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and maintenance, to ensure smooth production flow.
• Lead and mentor the production planning and control team, providing guidance and support.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in production planning and control techniques.
• Prepare reports and present findings to senior management.

Forging Plant

Profile -Production Planning Control Head

Qualification - B.Tech / M.Tech- Mechanical, Metallurgy

Salary - Upto 15 Lac CTC

Experience - Min. 15+ yrs in Machining unit manufacturing Shifter Folks, Shifter rods, Lift arms, Tie Rod arm, Pitman arm, connecting rod.

Location - Doraha Ludhiana (Punjab)

Looking for a production Head incharge with experience and indepth knowledge in above mentioned component manufacturing processes. Shifter folks, lift arms etc are forged and casted and further machined to finish for assemblies using processes such as milling, induction hardening, VMC/CNC machining etc.

Candidate should have knowledge about processes involved, machinery required for each of the processes, Quality related issues and potential to resolve. Setting up new facility as per process flow to implement all QMS and lean manufacturing processes.

Identify and resolve production-related problems and challenges in a timely manner.

Work towards achieving production targets and goals set by the company.

Analyze production capacity and make recommendations for expansion or scaling down as needed.

Daily sharing production plan vs actual with down time report and reduce down time across all sections of plant.

100% adherence of production plan released by PPC team.

Monitoring and achieving desired efficiency from all the sections.

Prepare regular production reports for senior management.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as needed.

Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the production process and implement improvements.
