Role : PostgreSQL Location : GREATER NOIDA Experience : 7+ years Work : Contract - Work from Office Budget : 20 LPA Notice Period : Immediate/ 15 days Company : Wipro Note : Candidates should have PF deductions in their current company : Should Have experience in planning, installation and configuration of PostgreSQL and related rpm packages, source code or using third party run files Maintaining the database server software, using utilities such as pg_ctl or psql to restart services or manually restarting them if necessary Monitoring database performance to identify slowdowns or potential issues Managing users and permissions, including adding new users and removing inactive accounts Managing disaster recovery procedures to ensure that data is safe in case of a physical disaster such as fire or flood Creating database objects such as tables, views, triggers, and indexes Maintaining the database schema, including creating new tables, adding columns to existing tables, and deleting unnecessary tables and data Performing regular database backups to ensure data integrity in case of a server crash Monitoring network security to ensure that unauthorized users cannot access the database server Performing regular scheduled maintenance on the database server, such as vacuum analysis on large tables to remove obsolete data Taking logical backups , physical backups and restoration of using pg_dump, pg_dump all. Performing PITR (Point in time recovery) based on the requirement. Troubleshooting on day-to-day activities and provide production database support for team. Managing the Team from Technical Perspective, Helping the other projects in resolving the PostgreSQL related issues., database deployment based on the requirement from the application and client teams. Configuration of replication manager tool to automate the replication process. Configuration of pgbouncer tool for connection pooling. Applying patches, upgradation to PostgreSQL cluster. Creation of extensions for database depending on requirement. Creation of users, groups and assign the privileges. Perform routine maintenance tasks like reindex and vacuum.
