Mountain Shadows Resort, Wayanad, is seeking a responsible and alert

Pool Lifeguard

to ensure the safety and comfort of guests using the resort's infinity pool and recreation areas.
The ideal candidate will be trained in lifesaving techniques, attentive to poolside conditions, and committed to maintaining high safety and hygiene standards that reflect the resort's premium hospitality values.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Safety & Supervision

Monitor guests in and around the swimming pool to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment at all times. Enforce pool rules and regulations courteously but firmly. Respond immediately to emergencies, perform rescues, and administer first aid or CPR when required. Stay alert during duty hours, maintaining full visual coverage of the pool area. Assist children, elderly guests, and non-swimmers as needed.

Pool Maintenance & Cleanliness

Inspect the pool and surrounding areas regularly for safety hazards or maintenance issues. Check water quality (chlorine, pH levels) and report abnormalities to the maintenance team. Maintain cleanliness of pool deck, towels, and lounge area. Ensure that lifesaving and safety equipment is always in proper working condition.

Guest Interaction

Greet guests courteously and provide assistance regarding pool usage, timings, and safety guidelines. Report guest feedback or incidents to the Activity Manager or Front Office. Promote responsible behavior and maintain a calm, friendly demeanor at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

Valid lifeguard certification

from a recognized institution (e.g., Red Cross, YMCA, or equivalent).

Minimum 2 years of experience

as a pool lifeguard in a resort, hotel, or club environment. Strong swimming skills and demonstrated rescue competence. Certified in

First Aid and CPR

. Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Malayalam or Hindi is an advantage. Physically fit, disciplined, and able to work outdoors for extended periods. High standards of grooming and professionalism.

Work Conditions

Full-time, on-site position at Mountain Shadows Resort, Wayanad. Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays. Accommodation and meals provided at the resort. Uniform and safety equipment supplied by the resort.
