Hybrid Working

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We\xe2\x80\x99re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction:

  • The PLU team is primarily responsible for the receipt, analysis, validation, and investigative response to comply with requests for information from UK Law Enforcements. Through the supply of Pre Order Enquiries and Data Protection Act requests. All members of the PLU are expected to contribute to each of these areas to ensure that the Bank and PS&I remains compliant with all, legal and internal policies, and standards. The primary purpose for this role will be to receive, analyse and respond to requests for data and support provided on the Service Now Case Management System. The role holder will also be required to support wider criminal disruption efforts by identifying emerging threats and links in the PLU requests and ongoing or emerging investigations within the Bank. The role holder will work to the highest levels of integrity always acting to protect the reputation of Barclays, its colleagues, and its customers.
  • Whilst this is not an investigator role a high level of investigative ability, commercial awareness, decision-making and judgement is beneficial.
What will you be doing?

Performance Management
  • Keep informed of and promote knowledge of best practice in PLU, Investigations management, from both internal and external sources
  • Support the PLU team as required ensuring that the team\xe2\x80\x99s operational effectiveness is maintained
  • Drive continuous improvement across team and self to ensure best in class PLU service for all stakeholders, which include global law enforcement agencies
  • Monitor teams\xe2\x80\x99 performance to ensure that all SLAs, KRIs and KPIs remain within threshold and where necessary take action to remediate where relevant SLAs, KRIs and KPIs drop below acceptable thresholds
Operational
  • Coordinate team members to deliver on specific projects, initiatives and improvement programmes as defined by the Head of TCB
  • Operate the PLU case management system ensuring that all requests for investigative response are correctly assessed, triaged and responded to in line with current processes
  • Suggesting then designing and implementing operational process improvements, supporting colleagues to accept and adapt to the resulting changes, to deliver a better service for our customers and/or improve efficiency
  • Responsible for conducting all day 1 and immediate control checks to ensure that PLU Analysts have processed all Request accurately and in a timely manner, whilst ensuring compliance with all policies, standards, and procedures
  • In addition to management responsibilities will be required to manage own case load and be recognised as the team SME
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures to ensure that practices in the management and response to PLU develop and change
  • Addressing and where appropriate escalating complaints, issues and problems to the TCB & PLU Team Manager or relevant channel to achieve the best possible outcome for the customer and the business in line with Barclays\xe2\x80\x99 policy and best practice
  • Contribute to a supportive and proactive working culture by sharing knowledge and expertise with other team members and providing training to colleagues when necessary
  • Contribute to and produce management information reports as required
  • Work closely with other Global Investigations, Financial Crime, Fraud and Legal Teams to support criminal identification and disruption efforts. Demonstrate excellent behaviours and positively embracing and contributing to the Criminal Disruption change program
  • Contribute to the ongoing investigations Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) process, conformance testing and investigations quality assurance programme
  • Represent the team in meetings and attend when required relevant industry forums
