Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:

The Purchase Order Centre of Excellence provide PO support services, process optimization and the Framework for all R&D funded Fee-for-Service Outsourcing and Academic collaboration activities at Third Parties.

There is a requirement for PO CoE Operations Analyst to join the team to provide E2E PO support, working in partnership with R&D Procurement Contracting teams and the Business to support Purchase order generation and other related activities.

Key Responsibilities linked to creation and process of Purchase Orders:

The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Operations

  • Generate and amend enabled Workspace PO\xe2\x80\x99s/Ad Hoc POs in adherence to PO CoE business rules.
  • Act as PO knowledge centre and a means to initiate PO issue resolution/escalation to minimize delays for Third Party payment.
  • Provide expert advice and training to R&D Procurement, the Business customers and suppliers for in scope activities and spend.
  • Support vendor maintenance in the GSK finance systems to ensure successful invoicing.
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing process to support the continued business, ensuring that both system and process remain fit for purpose within a changing external and internal environment.
Other Skills:
  • Good understanding of the relevant finance and procurement systems and interfacing Contracting processes.
  • Strong relationship builder and communicator, proactive, and team player
  • Ability to establish priorities, develop and implement new processes.
  • Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge/Education required:

Basic Qualifications/Experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or
=10 years working experience in pharmaceutical industry * Knowledge of Ariba Guided Buying PO systems, invoicing platforms and Ariba contracting tools
  • Demonstrable experience in a global role working within matrix organization and building strong collaborations with peers in other functional groups.
  • Change Management expertise and continuous improvement mindset.
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
