Global Analytics Center (GAC):

A mature analytics capability, the Global Analytics Center (GAC), is a hub of advanced analytics competency, providing high-end analytics services across global businesses and global functions. Today, the GAC team generates value across the group through a wide variety of data and analytic solutions and related business consulting. GAC has become a one-stop shop for the group\xe2\x80\x99s analytic needs leading the integration of analytics and data-driven decisions not only in traditional areas such as Risk, Retail, Wholesale, Private & Commercial Banking but also in new domains such as Regulatory, Operations, Procurement, Human Resources, and Financial Crime Risk. It provides support to various business groups and the job involves data analysis, model and strategy development & implementation, Business Intelligence, reporting and data management.

There are primarily four job families in GAC: Decision Sciences, Information Management, Business Consulting and MI Reporting. This role applies to the Information Management job family within the Analytics function supporting various businesses and functions.

Global Business/Global Function - Sub-Function \xe2\x80\x93 Fraud & Credit Decision Systems (FCDS):

Decision Systems is responsible for transforming the build and deployment of scalable decision systems and data access infrastructure for credit origination and customer management. Key Decision Infrastructure include SAS ID, Data Orchestration and Decision Data Store.

The Opportunity:

Job Family Classification

Decision Sciences job family is designed to cater towards all the Strategies related Decision and data needs of business. It covers sourcing of data and building structured data lakes for Business Insights. Key responsibilities also include but not limited to: creation of a robust data foundation and continuous update of these datasets, to support Analysis and reporting, identify opportunities for data monetization and develop self-serve BI solutions to empower the business to make informed decisions. The team members embed agile delivery methodologies to continuously keep refining the data models using new and emerging techniques. This team also acts as a bridge between IT and the business stakeholders



The PMO role is responsible in supporting the delivery of transformation and embedding of Future State Decision Systems technology into Regional environments. This Job manages change initiation, design and delivery and responsible for successful delivery of the programme. They will work closely with business stakeholders, IT and the CCS Team to ensure successful delivery of Decisioning technology into the Regional market and introduction into operational service. Their responsibilities include:

  • Provide management to maintain a focus on how the project aligns to wider Programme objectives, where appropriate, and to the change portfolio across HSBC
  • Oversee the monitoring and reporting of progress, issues, dependencies, risks to the Programme management, internal stakeholders and/or steering committees. Make recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization
  • Assist business stakeholders with the decomposition of complex business requirements that can be delivered via respective backlogs with minimum cross product co-ordination
  • Delivery, governance & reporting to stakeholders
  • Drives the use of the prevailing methodologies within the Bank (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
  • Ensure the project aligns to HSBC strategies and contribute to towards achieving strategic aims
  • Manage project plans and roadmap
  • Manage the JIRA tickets and keep the Confluence up to date
  • Work across business and technology to establish effective controls, procedures and quality assurance processes in line with the Business Transformation Framework and HSBC Risk and Controls framework
  • Manage the reporting of progress, issues, dependencies and risks to committees and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization.

  • The jobholder will work in multi-location/ multi-cultural environment and needs to have project management skills for diversified projects and solutions across Decision Systems.
  • Understanding policy and regulatory guidelines and how this effects strategy, delivering change if applicable.
  • Communicating to non-technical decision makers in a clear and convincing manner.
Role Context
  • This role provides PMO support to the Decision Systems Programmes.
  • Responsible for the project delivery of transformation and embedding of Future State Decision Systems technology into Regional environments
  • The individual will work closely with the Lead Programme Manager and support them in the execution of the projects.
  • Maintain Project Plans, roadmaps and RAID logs and align with the existing reporting structures
  • Decisions beyond assigned authority are referred to higher management for approval.
Management of Risk
  • Responsibility to ensure flawless production execution of policies, adherence to all Ops risk requirements, Compliance and regulatory requirements. Ensure a culture of risk awareness within the organization.
  • This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring.
  • Also by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department.
Observation of Internal Control
  • Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
  • The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance or related field
  • 3+ years of Project management experience - ability to construct a high-level milestone plan and translate into project plan and experience of managing projects to a plan.
  • Strong communication, influencing, decision making, analytical, project, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing JIRA & Confluence for a project is highly desirable
  • Ability to operate well across cultures and in multi-cultural diverse work environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to change and changing work priorities and ability to drive results
