PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

To provide leadership, management and coordination on all activities related to the project management teams assigned projects including in the areas of: goal setting, planning, estimating, resource allocation and assignments, project health and reporting, problem resolution and collaboration with key stakeholders.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Provide oversight and guidance for IT team in keeping PMO templates, tools, and data up-to-date and accurate.
  • Lead IT in the use of the PMOs PPM tool, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
  • Partner with our PPM vendor to support or enhance our PPM tool as needed.
  • Build and run standard and ad-hoc reports or data extracts from PMO tools in support of IT data requests.
  • Guide new requests for IT work through a standard IT intake process.
  • Train new team members in the use of our PPM tools and procedures.
  • Identify hotspots or bottlenecks in the use of people resources within IT in support of projects and other IT work.
  • Communicate effectively to team members in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Assist with PMO financial management processes including budgeting, cost analysis, project cost reporting, etc.
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to individuals and teams related to Project Management best practices and continuous process improvement.
  • Collect and report on PMO performance metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 years of Project Management experience demonstrated by a proven track record of success in multiple complex projects and/or programs preferred.
  • At least 2 years of professional, related experience in consulting, software development, client management, team management, business relationship management and resource management preferred.
  • Must have experience in all phases of project life cycle and have a demonstrative understanding of project management.
  • Strong data analysis and data management experience, including SQL and reporting, is required.
  • Current thorough knowledge of technical skills as they relate to objectives of position.
  • Demonstrated ability to keep up-to-date on new software/hardware technology and other advancements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of Company personnel.
