This exciting role offers opportunity to: Job Summary:

  • This position is part of Skunkworks team focusing on fast paced innovation across Electrification, Energy Transformation, Digitalization & Regional Growth. Team will work on product & technology development of Power Electronics devices such as On-Board & Off-board Chargers, UPS Inverters, Power Converters & Traction Inverters. Team is expected to have significant interactions with senior leadership & cross functional team to mature projects from idea to proof of concept stage demonstrating value proposition.
  • This role assumes leadership for product management and program execution in the vehicle electrification domain. The incumbent shall work closely with the stakeholders to define the product specification, determine product positioning in line with competition and market activity. He / She drives the project from idea rationalization, derivation of technical specification, cost, proof-of-concept build, verification and validation in a fast paced manner. The incumbent shall be agile in dealing with market dynamics and course corrections on right / optimal product definition and recommend the ideas / changes to top level product leadership to persuade for the effective product demonstration.
Job Responsiblities:
  • Work with stakeholders from SkunkWorks, Chief Engineer's Office for Power Electronics to derive plans for products for Electrification domain
  • Bring up market data, collect customer voices and EATON key account manager's insights to derive top level product specifications
  • Gather competitive product intelligence including product performance, cost parameters, warranty, market share and manufacturing footprint
  • Gain information on product differentiation both at hardware level and software level and devise rationale for services
  • Create project proposals including budget estimations for people, materials and third party contract / services (testing or special investigations)
  • Devise project schedules for engineering work for product conceptualization, analysis and proof of concept build & validation
  • Manage program in a stage-gate fashion with approved scope by product line leader & technical project leader (SkunkWorks)
  • Plan & co-ordinate with cross functional team to create overall project schedule, stage-gate timings, critical sign-off milestones
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a end to end project management in automotive domain either in conventional / mechatronic systems
  • Adept in conflict resolution, negotiation and team work, should have strong collaboration & partnership to manage projects in a matrix organization
  • PMP certification and actual hands-on practice in a technology led team is highly preferable.

Qualifications

Requirement:
  • Masters / Bachelors in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical) /
  • 8~ 11 years of experience with multinational automotive Tier-1 in hands-on technology product development
  • Project Management, Product Management, Strategic Analysis and Business Development for Electrification Products (DC - DC Converter, Inverter, Chargers etc…)
  • Work & interact with global cross-functional and cross-cultural team. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to clearly communicate to internal/external customers and suppliers.
