Job Title Platform Engineering Engineer 3 [Storage Specialist]





Main Responsibilities

• Should be able to work on Azure, AWS cloud storage solutions like Azure NetApp Files, S3, Azure, Azure Files, Azure disks.
• Automate cloud resource deployment using Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible.
• Automate on-premise storage tasks using Python and Ansible.
• Should be able to plan storage masking, un-masking on multi-vendor storage products (IBM, EMC, NetApp).
• Should be able to zone, un-zone servers on Brocade SAN environment
• Should do compatibility check of servers with storage and SAN environment.
• Candidate will be responsible for assessing storage migration requirements, plan and manage storage migrations. Should also track the migration status with required checklists and reports.
• Candidate should be open to lead on cross-functional tasks and deliver.
• Candidate is responsible to work with other teams, understand their requirements and deliver service as a technology expert.
• Candidate is responsible work with vendors to get their support in resolving storage and SAN related issues.

Skills & Knowledge \xe2\x80\x93 Technical / Functional and Managerial

• 7+ years of experience in managing Enterprise block/file/object storage environments.
• Candidate should have hands on working experience on Azure and AWS Storage, compute, and Networking, and hands on experience on Linux operating system.
• Hands on experience on Terraform, Terragrunt, Bitbucket, Jenkins.
• Proficient in Python and Ansible.
• Awareness on Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ITSM tools like Service Now.
• Experience in working with SAFe (Scalied Agile) methodology.
• Experience with IBM Storage, EMC Storage, NetApp NAS(Any two) preferred.
• Experience on managing enterprise SAN (Preferably Brocade SAN).
• Should have extensive experience in storage management responsibilities including Storage Allocation, Data Migration, Storage Connectivity, and Reporting, troubleshooting Storage, SAN and NAS issues.
• Should have working knowledge on storage Performance Monitoring and Tuning.
• Should have strong Storage and SAN and NAS troubleshooting skills.
• Good problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Should have strong communication and organizational skills
• Should have knowledge on ITIL Concepts including Incident, Problem and Change Management (ITIL Certificate is an added advantage).

Education and Years of Experience

• Bachelor\'s Degree with 4 years of technical education or equivalent.
• Relevant industry qualification
• Should have strong problem solving, analytical, technical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team in a multi-cultural environment
• Analytical and conceptual thinking
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good presentation skills with the ability to convey ideas

Relevant Job Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in managing Enterprise Storage Environments and working on multi-cloud .
• Working experience on any large-scale on-premise to cloud migration
