SUMMARY
The Cosm Engineering team develops technology to deliver best-in-class experiences in our digital and live-streaming products. We are looking for a passionate and talented Platform Engineer, DevOps to help architect/enhance our AWS infrastructure and to build tools that enable our developers and other engineers to perform at their best. As the Platform Engineer, you will be working closely with other Engineers and DevOps teams to ensure that the platform meets the needs of the organization and its users. We expect all of our engineers to be versatile and enthusiastic when taking on new problems as we continue to push the technology forward. The ideal candidate for this role should have strong technical skills, including experience with automation tools, software development, and any cloud computing platforms (preferably AWS). They should also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable and reliable platform architectures that meet the organization\'s requirements. This includes considering factors such as performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Leverage automation and git ops tools for change control, repeatable environments, configuration management, and \xe2\x80\x9cinfrastructure as code\xe2\x80\x9d to provision and manage cloud deployments.
• Design, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines utilising best of breed services and tools.
• Participate in architectural, design and product sessions.
• Grow the platform to millions of concurrent users through solid architecture choices and design principles.
• Stay on top of industry trends and emerging technologies.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ Hands-on DevOps experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• 2+ years experience using AWS, familiarity with Azure and GCP a plus.
• Experience with Node.js (Typescript preferred), Go, Rust, Python, Java or Ruby.
• Experience working with NOSQL (Mongo, Dynamo, Redis, Elasticsearch) and SQL (Postgres, MySQL, Aurora) database systems and configuration of primary/replica and shared database clusters.
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for backend and frontend services including mobile applications.
• Experience understanding of network engineering and security principles (e.g. protocols, routing, switching, filtering, firewall rules, etc.).
• Excellent analysis, debugging, root-cause identification, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Streaming is a big plus (ex: FFMPEG, Ngnix, Wowza, knowledge of codec and streaming protocols).
• Driven to automate your processes, test continually, and document your work.

• Knowledge of Unity/Unreal or similar game engines is a plus
