ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
This role will be responsible for leading the HR initiatives and industrial relations, including but not limited to partnering with the Plant teams and HR function to manage positive employee relations on the shopfloor and staff, ensuring a great employee experience, ensuring all organizational policies are well understood and implemented in the plant, managing the contracted workers, ensuring all HR and contractor compliances, liaising with local & Government authorities and setting up the best HR & IR work practices at our designated Plant. We are looking for an experienced Plant HR Manager to lead the well-established Plant in Pune with remotely managing a few areas of opportunity and projects are other locations. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Plant & Factory Manager and plant teams on building harmonious employee relations and build talent and organizational excellence, around succession & leadership development. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
  • The incumbent will be responsible in putting systems and processes in place in all the areas under HR function and end to end contract labour Management.
  • Work closely with the other HR team-members, plant and operations team to attract, engage and develop the right talent.
  • Act as a primary contact to plant and functional managers on all HR services. Work closely with the team in Global Workforce operations to ensure all HR systems and processes are well leveraged in providing a world class employee experience
  • Provide coaching, counseling and consulting to managers on a broad range of HR & IR related issues and problems.
  • Understand - the needs of the business and talent needs within the scope of the job and functional area, and partner with the other HR team members & functional leaders to deploy leadership development & succession plans for these functions.
  • Support and assist in the development and implementation of engagement surveys and all supervisory and management training programs.
  • Maintain a positive Unionized environment, independent management of Union relationships and addressing all employee and worker grievances proactively including but not limited to long term wage settlements, holding work committee meetings, closing the loop on discussed actions, managing the discipline and productivity related situations on the shopfloor
  • The incumbent should have lead at least two LTS discussion with the Union
  • Along with the HR Business partner - Operations, provide inputs and execute the employee & industrial relations strategy for the relevant sites.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the relevant sites in purview are fully compliant on HR and statutory requirements, will ensure proper liaison with the labour & local Administration including statutory authorities, as required and in accordance with organization policies and code of conduct.

  • You enjoy working in a dynamic, fast paced and ambitious team and work environment and are good at multitasking.
  • You have a solid grounding in the legal aspects of site management, vendor management and have experience working in a multinational culture.
  • Proficient in leveraging technology and in using excel sheets, presentations, whitepapers and working with reporting softwares.
  • Minimum graduate degree in any stream and a proven well rounded experience of 10- 15 years as HR IR manager/head of a plant, managing site locations including manufacturing sites.
