Reporting directly to senior management, the Operations Head will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to attain operational objectives and maintain seamless business operations. As the Operations Head for our Manufacturing Company in Trichy, your role will encompass the following key responsibilities: 1. Strategic Development: Formulate and execute operational strategies, policies, and procedures aimed at optimizing business performance and boosting productivity. 2. Oversight of Day-to-Day Operations: Take charge of overseeing and managing the daily operations, including production and supply chain activities. 3. Performance Analysis and Improvement: Analyze crucial operational metrics to identify areas for enhancement and implement necessary corrective actions to drive improvements. 4. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the operations team to ensure top-notch performance, maintaining quality standards, and meeting set timelines. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with diverse teams such as Finance, P&A, HR, and other departments to align operational objectives with overall business goals. 6. Compliance Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to legal, regulatory, and safety standards across all operational activities. 7. Efficiency and Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and overall operational efficiency enhancements, implementing relevant initiatives. 8. Continuous Improvement Culture: Drive initiatives for continuous improvement and cultivate a culture of operational excellence within the organization. 9. Industry Awareness and Integration: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in operations management, applying them to enhance operational capabilities. 10. Expertise in Methodologies: Possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in methodologies like 5S, KAIZEN, and IMS to further optimize and streamline operations. The ideal candidate for the Operations Head position at our Trichy-based Manufacturing Company should meet the following qualifications and requirements: 1. Educational Background: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering (BE/BTech) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or a related field. A master\xe2\x80\x99s degree would be advantageous. 2. Extensive Experience: Proven track record with a minimum of 20 years in a leadership role within the Fabrication Manufacturing Industry, showcasing expertise in operations management. 3. Operational Acumen: In-depth knowledge of Manufacturing Operations, encompassing production processes, supply chain management, and logistics. 4. Strategic Implementation: Demonstrated success in implementing operational strategies and spearheading process improvement initiatives. 5. Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management abilities, capable of inspiring and motivating teams to achieve set goals. 6. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving. 7. Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams. 8. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously. 9. Proficiency in Operations Management Tools: Proficient in utilizing relevant software and tools for efficient operations management. 10. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols pertinent to the Manufacturing Industry. 11. Technical Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge in Welding, Grinding, Machining, and other Fabrication work processes. 12. Expertise in Project Estimation & Plant Management: In-depth understanding and experience in project estimation and proficient plant management.
