• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, to develop raw material planning strategies that align with production requirements and customer demand.
• Analyze production schedules and forecasted demand to determine the raw material requirements for sheet metal and fabrication processes.
• Conduct regular inventory analysis to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and minimize carrying costs while ensuring uninterrupted production.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, negotiate pricing and terms, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Monitor and track raw material consumption, identify any deviations from planned consumption, and take corrective actions as necessary.
• Utilize SAP systems or other planning tools to manage and track raw material inventory levels, purchases, and consumption.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis to evaluate the impact of raw material changes, process improvements, or new product introductions on production planning.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize material utilization and minimize waste in the sheet metal and fabrication processes.
• Generate reports and provide regular updates on raw material planning metrics, such as inventory levels, lead times, and stock-outs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to raw material planning and recommend process improvements and cost-saving initiatives

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 4 to 5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer, with a focus on raw material planning, preferably in the sheet metal and fabrication industry.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal and fabrication processes, including material requirements, production lead times, and quality considerations.
• Proficient in using planning tools and systems, such as SAP software, to manage raw material planning and inventory.
• Experience in analyzing production schedules, demand forecasts, and inventory data to develop accurate raw material plans.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools to analyze and present planning-related data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
