Mercedes Benz Automated Driving & Advanced Driver Assistance Systems help avoid accidents and mitigate their consequences. Under the umbrella term \xe2\x80\x9cIntelligent Drive\xe2\x80\x9d, Mercedes-Benz is systematically pursuing this strategy with numerous new assistance systems, greatly enhanced functions and innovative protective systems. Cutting edge technology Sensors like Radar, Lidar and Stereo Multipurpose camera together with System Software enables the Driver Assistance System in collision warning & mitigation, lane recognition, traffic sign recognition, object detection and tracking for avoiding crash.
You will be part of the team, which is responsible for the development, and validation of system functions that enable partial and fully autonomous driving. Key task of this job offer is environment perception by fusing different sensors (radar, camera, LIDAR, ultrasonic). As part of our team, it is your responsibility to develop software for sensor fusion with on-board sensors and filtering methods for environment perception in future automated driving systems.

Job Responsibilities:
- Algorithm development and implementation of Automated Driving/ ADAS functions- You develop scalable, highly reliable software solutions, including specification, project planning, implementation, prototyping, validation and documentation (incl. project management, scheduling, interaction with collaboration partners etc.)

- Design, implementation and testing for ISO26262 compliance - You consider the law regulations, functional safety requirements according to ISO26262, product safety requirements as well as requirements of the automated driving functions that leads to system concepts that allow for a safe functionality even in the case of system errors

- Troubleshooting of System/Software issues- You realize the system concepts together with collaboration partners, validate them in different test environments according to the respective requirements and integrate them .

Basic Qualification:
- Bachelors or Master\'s Degree in Electronics and Communication/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Science/ Automotive Electronics or equivalent degree
- 0-1 years of overall experience in Automotive domain

Key Skills:
- Experience in design and implementation of complex software modules
- Strong Algorithm development and SW realization experience in embedded C/C++ language
- Strong Analytical and debugging skills
- Python programming language and exposure to data analytics
- Strong knowledge in localization or fusion, filter and tracking methods (e.g. Kalman filter,
particle filter, Occupancy Grids)

Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in Algorithm Development in one or more of the below topics - Signal processing, Prediction, Kalman filter and its extensions
- Sensor Fusion Techniques - Statistical Models of Sensors, Fusion, Prediction & Tracking
- Motion equations & Applied Mathematics

- Background in Active Safety / Advanced Driver Assistance Systems within Automotive domain
- Knowledge of perception and sensors (e.g. radar, camera, lidar, ultrasonic)
- Experience in Version Control Tools - GIT, SVN, MKS, Jenkits etc
- Knowledge of current hardware and software processes, functional safety and E/E standards(Autosar, Automotive SPICE, FuSa following ISO26262, SOTIF, etc.) and agile development Methods
- Usage of DOORS, EA, Eclipse, QAC, JIRA, Astree etc
- Basic knowledge on German language
- Willingness to participate in business travels and test drives
