Overview:
Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Principal Software Engineer (C++, C and Python) to join our Interface IP team in Bengaluru, India. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.
As a Software Engineer- PE, while reporting to a Director Engineering, you will be developing software solutions for test, validation, and characterization of Rambus IPs in test chips and customer SoCs. It is a Full-Time position. Responsibilities:

• Define and implement new software tools to enable test engineers to validate silicon in a bench set up
• Deploy these new developed tools in labs across the globe and in customer sites
• Maintain and improve the software tools already developed by the software team for internal and external users
• Maintain complete ownership of software ecosystem for all business units of the organization
• Discuss with the R&D teams to identify areas of new features and improvements in the methodology
• Implement your ideas and develop new software solutions
• Add new features according to the user needs and your new ideas
• Fix the bugs, improve the quality, and tackle the technical debt
• Provide help and support to the users

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering
• High skills in programing in C++, C and Python
• Strong experience in version control systems (Git/Perforce)
• Strong experience in Continuous Integration
• Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies (.NET, WPF, VC++)
• Substantial experience in customer support
• 10-12+ years of experience of relevant work experience in software development

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the development of firmware in C
• Experience coding with Verilog and/or System Verilog along with scripting languages
• Hands on experience on SDC ownership, testing, and debugging
• Understanding of silicon test environment and automation frameworks
• Experience in interaction with verification, logic and application engineering teams
