Job Description


We are looking for a resource who can take up and execute the responsibilities related to full cycle payroll and benefits operations of the company. Responsibilities:

  • Handle the full end-to-end payroll operations ensuring timely & accurate salary disbursements to all employees.
  • Process all statutory payments & employee benefits on a timely basis and filing of returns as per the local compliances & government instructions.
  • Ensure preparation & finalization of the annual payroll certificates (eg: Form 16) of all employees within the prescribed time period.
  • Build and monitor a consolidated Payroll Operations annual operating plan to forecast headcount needs with a detailed analysis of the budget to actual results on a monthly and quarterly basis for senior management.
  • Own HR reporting & People Operations budgeting
  • Interface with employees to address employee queries
  • Own the leave & policy management processes and activities within the HR team
  • Measure and manage employee productivity management with the use of industry best tools and technology
  • Ensure existing policies and procedures are followed and draft new policies around various functional areas
  • Liaise with auditors, and external vendors and manage payroll tax audits
  • Experience working with Compensation & Benefits team, Finance team, People Partner team on all initiatives as well as delivering any data request.
  • Oversee the employee onboarding process and confidentiality of the employee’s personal data and documents
  • Remittance and record maintenance of all payroll compliances like TDS, PF, ESI, Bonus, S&E, etc
  • Take charge of employee reimbursements & be a champion for introducing best practices in benefits, comp, documentation & compliance


Requirements
  • At least 2-3 years of working experience in India payroll operations, including audit, taxation, etc.
  • Possesses a good understanding of Indian employment laws, local payroll practices, and statutory payroll regulations (tax, PF, salary structure etc).
  • Prior working experience of Labour Law and Payroll Compliances such as Income tax, Professional tax, Provident Fund, ESIC, LWF etc.
  • Strong operational hands-on experience, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Possesses high level of integrity and able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Good communication skills with professional command of written and spoken English and has a customer-focus mindset
  • Able to interact and collaborate with stakeholders from all levels while also able to work independently multitask, and determine priorities proactively under high pressure
  • Strong aptitude to learn and pick up new skills, and highly adaptable to change
  • Tech-savvy with good proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-Suite
