The Painter performs general painting and associated duties to maintain, repair, or upgrade facilities, structures, and utilities.


This position is unaccompanied; and a Bachelor's Quarter (BQ) will be provided. Responsibilities:

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

• Prepares surface for painting.
• Erects scaffolding and ladders as may be required to complete a project.
• Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on antennas, towers, and domes.
• Performs corrosion controls on structures and facilities.
• Utilizes blueprints, technical manuals and follow manufacturer's specifications for painting.
• Tracks and records hours and materials expended on projects.
• Motivates, mentors and trains less qualified co-workers to evaluate their skills and knowledge.
• Perform the duties and responsibilities of the position that could include moderate amounts of lifting, bending, and climbing to heights of 220` to perform surface preparation and painting.
• Performs other work as may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

Mandatory:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years to five (5) years' experience as a journeyman level painter.
• Strong background in industrial painting working at elevated heights safely.
• Former experience in estimating materials and labor requirement for painting project.
• Ability to perform the simple mathematical calculations required on the job.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel by plane, helicopter and/or boat to conduct work activities on an outer island as may be required.
• Ability to successfully pass any background checks, pre-employment physical requirements and drug testing required by the contract.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, which includes U.S. Citizenship or U.S. naturalization.

Proof of COVID-19 VACCINATION: In order to qualify for this position, you must be fully vaccinated prior to the start of your assignment and show proof of your vaccination status, unless you are legally entitled to an accommodation (religious or medical).

The definition of fully vaccinated is that you have:


1.) Received a vaccine that is recognized by the governing entity and is either a.) Two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine b.) Two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine c.) Two doses of Moderna Vaccine (or) d. One dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine; and


2.) Two weeks elapsed after the final dose was administered, which is either one or two doses depending on brand of the vaccination.
