Job Purpose:

To ensure efficient and accurate packing of products as per company standards and customer requirements, maintaining quality, safety, and productivity in the packing area.

Key Responsibilities:1. Packing Operations

Carry out packing activities as per daily production plans and instructions. Ensure proper labeling, sealing, and packaging of products as per standard operating procedures (SOPs). Verify product codes, batch numbers, and expiry dates before packing. Handle packing materials efficiently to minimize wastage.

2. Quality Control

Inspect products before packing to ensure there are no defects or damages. Ensure all packed goods meet quality, hygiene, and safety standards. Report any quality issues or non-conformities to the supervisor immediately.

3. Equipment & Material Handling

Operate packing machines safely and efficiently. Ensure regular cleaning and basic maintenance of packing equipment. Keep track of packing material stock and inform the supervisor in case of shortages.

4. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain packing records, such as quantity packed, materials used, and time taken. Assist in preparing daily packing reports and updating ERP / manual records. Support inventory reconciliation activities.

5. Safety & Housekeeping

Follow all workplace safety and hygiene protocols. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain cleanliness and organization in the packing area.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Minimum 10+2 or Diploma / ITI in Packaging / Production / Mechanical (preferred).

Experience:

1-5 years of experience in a packing role within [industry, e.g., FMCG, food, pharma, or manufacturing].
