Role Overview
Finance operations role in Smith & Nephew Global Business Services (GBS) responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient finance transactional processes and controls from a GBS center as described in the S&N Finance Accounts Payable (AP) taxonomy and in line with the Group Finance Manual, Minimum Acceptable Practices (MAPs) and Sarbanes Oxley requirements. Delivers the service to meet SLAs and KPIs and to ensure positive Voice of Customer feedback, regulatory requirements, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Must have knowledge and understanding of the payments process
- Experience in dealing with counterparts from Europe and UKI
- Hands-on knowledge of payments process, clearings, vendor open items, vendor reconciliations
- Monitor and resolve aged GRIR/GRNI, Blocked Invoices (MRBR), GIT, and PPV
- Prepares proposals for payment runs, wire transfers, and manual transactions to ensure accurate and timely supplier payments, remittances, and bank clearing.
- Maximizing on-time payment
- Minimize duplicate and overpayments, minimize un-utilized credits
- Knowledge of BACS payments
- Invoice processing Knowledge would be an added advantage.
Education: B.Com / M.Com
Experience:
- 1-2 years in International BPO/BPM.
- Good English communications skills written and verbal.
- Experience in Accounts Payable / Procure to Pay preferred.
- Good MS Office skills
Having Strong Knowledge of Payments, AP and Invoice Processing, Strong analytical skills, and detail oriented, Strong MS Office skills especially in Microsoft Excel, Working knowledge of SAP, etc.
