Position: Order to Cash Specialist
Experience: 5+ years
Responsibilities:
As an Order to Cash Specialist with 5 years of experience, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of the order to cash cycle to ensure efficient and accurate processing, timely invoicing, and optimal cash flow. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders to drive excellence in financial operations. Your key responsibilities will include:


Order Processing:

  • Review and validate customer orders for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to pricing and terms.
  • Coordinate with sales, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
  • Resolve any order-related discrepancies or issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.



Invoicing:
  • Generate accurate and timely invoices based on approved sales orders and contracts.
  • Validate invoice details, including pricing, discounts, taxes, and payment terms.
  • Collaborate with customers to address invoice inquiries and discrepancies, aiming for swift resolution.



Collections:
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging, proactively identifying overdue accounts.
  • Contact customers for payment follow-ups, negotiate payment plans when necessary, and ensure timely resolution of payment disputes.
  • Maintain communication with customers to foster positive relationships while prioritizing timely collections.



Cash Application:
  • Accurately apply incoming payments to customer accounts.
  • Reconcile payments with invoices, resolving any discrepancies to ensure accurate account balances.



Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable, cash collection, and aging analysis.
  • Analyze trends and patterns to provide insights into cash flow performance and areas for improvement.
  • Revenue Accounting.



Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance the order to cash process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement best practices and process optimizations.



Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Order to Cash or Accounts Receivable roles.
  • Strong knowledge of order processing, invoicing, collections, and cash application.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interactions.
  • Problem-solving ability to address complex issues in the order to cash cycle.
  • Analytical skills to perform data analysis and generate actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in processing financial transactions.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Team player who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Experience on revenue recognition and accounting.
