Job Summary: The Operations Team Lead for the Lab at OH is pivotal in overseeing the pathology laboratory team\'s daily operations, workflow, and performance. The successful candidate will lead a team of skilled technicians and support staff, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of diagnostic samples, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of pathology technicians, laboratory assistants, and support staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Plan and organize laboratory workflows, schedules, and assignments to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.
• Monitor and manage sample processing, testing, and reporting to meet turnaround time targets while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with the Laboratory Manager to establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with regulatory guidelines (CLIA, CAP, etc.).
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, biohazard disposal guidelines, and infection control measures to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs for team members.
• Assist in the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new laboratory personnel.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and equipment malfunctions, coordinating with the technical support team for prompt resolution.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other department leads, such as Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Customer Service, to optimize end-to-end processes.
• Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, generate reports, and present findings to the management team.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory processes, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Stay updated with advancements in pathology laboratory techniques, equipment, and industry best practices.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence within the laboratory team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Proven experience 6 years working in a high-complexity clinical pathology laboratory, with at least 6 years in a leadership or supervisory role across any field.
• Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS), laboratory equipment, and relevant software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accuracy and quality in all aspects.
• Flexibility to work on-call or extended hours as necessary to meet operational demands.
