Linum Consult’s client is a world leader in construction, with a diverse portfolio of business interests, which encompass the Construction & Engineering sectors. Due to continued growth in Europe, they are currently looking to hire an Operations Manager with experience in the maintenance and repair of concrete/steel structures for their European hub. Candidates can be based in the UK or EU with travel. THE ROLE

• Reporting to the Business Unit Director and working as part of a small central team, servicing their office branches worldwide
• Facilitating the development and execution of repair, strengthening, and maintenance works of bridges and other complex structures
• Providing technical inputs and estimating support during tenders
• Providing operational support during project delivery, in particular during the start-up phase
• Constantly improving the company’s competitiveness and delivery capacity
• Contributing to the development of differentiating solutions and to the broadening of services available
• Leading the business unit’s specific marketing initiatives in close liaison with their corporate teams
• Structuring and managing the business unit’s specific knowledge collection; sharing and training in close cooperation with the Group’s training manager

PROFILE

• Degree qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Master’s degree desirable or equivalent
• 5+ years of post-graduate experience, ideally with a strong focus on the maintenance, repair, and strengthening of concrete and steel bridges, or other complex structures
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts to all levels of staff and clients
• Enthusiasm to train and transfer knowledge
• Previous history of marketing, or a keen interest in developing your marketing skills: acting as ambassador to the company
• Fluent in English, with any secondary language skills a huge advantage
