Plastics For Change has developed an ethical sourcing platform to create sustainable livelihoods for the urban poor, while transitioning the industry towards a circular economy. Our deal process and mobile platform provides waste pickers with access to fair and consistent income opportunities. Similar to fair trade agriculture, our platform creates transparency and accountability from the base of the supply chain to the store shelf. This results in more efficient shared-value chains and higher quality recycled plastic. We provide expertise to help catalyze brands and manufacturers to replace the use of virgin plastic with ethically sourced recycled plastic, thereby immediately improving the social and environmental impact of their products. Duties & Key Responsibilities

Aggregation Centre and Project Management:

• Network with various companies, vendors and stakeholders to identify right source of good quality raw materials (Polyolefins- HDPE and PP)
• Manage segregation of scrap based on quality standards
• Manage site level production teams to ensure production as planned.
• Suggest go-to-market strategies for sales
• Create a market for different items of Phugga (Polyolefins- HDPE and PP)
• Manage factory compliance and P&L account
• Implement SOPs for the aggregation, segregation, QA and QC of plastic waste (Polyolefins- HDPE and PP).
• Continuously improve SOP\xe2\x80\x99s to optimize performance (Lean manufacturing principle and six sigma design process).
• Identify and implement key projects and kaizens to increase productivity to hit the target
• Ensure projects are implemented on time and as per approved budgets

Reporting and Documentation:

• Ensure timely, concise and accurate reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis on prescribed formats on project progress
• Standardise machine inspection check sheet, pre dispatch check sheet and operation check sheets at site level
• Ensure segregation is carried out as per required quality standards

General responsibilities:

• Ensure professionalism at all times and demonstrate exemplary prioritisation of workload skills.
• Ensure strict adherence to data confidentiality and security.
• Willingness to travel frequently across PFC site locations, sometimes at short notice, including other places as per need of project or the company.
• Work closely with the PFC team and Partners.

knowledge, experience & qualifications

• Degree in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Plastics Engineering. Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in Operations
• Good Sales / Customer relationship management skills and very good networking skills
• Good understanding of plastics and plastic recycling
• Attention to detail
• Multi- tasker, managing multiple projects in a manner that focuses the team and drives results
• Excellent people management skills
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of Plastics For Change
• Fluent in English. In addition, Hindi and Tamil would be an advantage
