About Operations Reference Data Services (ORDS) Operations Reference Data Services (ORDS) is responsible for provision of operational support and management of Party (Client), Product, Org (Book), Instrument and Common Reference data to facilitate KYC and enable client business and trading relationships and associated downstream processes including Regulatory and Tax obligations. ORDS is driving the Group Party and Instrument Data Strategy across Corporate and Investment Bank as well as Infrastructure Functions, the key elements of this strategy are:

  • Providing a single, authorized source of Party (cRDS) & Non-Party Data to all areas across the bank, that contains accurate and complete data with the needed coverage
  • Distributing the Party & Non-Party data elements/attributes across the organization to ensure a single identifier is used front-to-back and there is consistency, alignment and common usage of data attributes across the stack
  • Ensure that data is fit for purpose with the necessary controls in place to monitor data quality
About the Team The Client Reference Data (cRDS) Reconciliations team within ORDS (Operations Reference Data Services) is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of detective controls to ensure the completeness of the Client Perimeter and mitigate any KYC risks to the bank. The team works closely with stakeholders across the bank – Client Lifecycle Management Operations, Business and Technology partners to ensure that any breaks resulting from the daily reconciliation process are remediated in a timely manner to mitigate operational risk. A wide-array of data analysis tools are utilized to understand root cause of breaks and elevate this to strategic program leads for prioritization and resolution. The team also supports stakeholders in meeting regulatory, internal and external audit timelines. Role Description The role involves leading and managing initiatives within the Client Reference Data Reconciliations function to ensure robust detective controls are in place to mitigate KYC risk for the firm. This role is critical to meeting regulatory and audit commitments for the division. The role requires collaboration across multiple cross functional teams including Client Lifecycle Management Operations, Business, Technology and other Operational functions to implement processes required. Your key responsibilities
  • Experience of 12+ years in an Operations, Banking and/ Financial Services Industry is preferable
  • Knowledge of Client Reference Data and Onboarding / Offboarding / Account Management / KYC processes is preferable
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large data sets is a must (strong excel skills is essential, experience working with data analysis tools such as Alteryx, Tableau etc. is a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to liaise with stakeholders in the bank and external parties such as auditors, regulations is needed
  • Very good attention to detail, problem solving skills and prioritization skills
  • Good influencing skills to ensure focus on controls across the bank
  • Able to work in a highly dynamic environment by collaborating with colleagues globally
  • Experience managing teams of 10+ individuals at least
Your skills and experience
  • Experience of 12+ years in an Operations, Banking and/ Financial Services Industry is preferable
