Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare the operation theatre before each procedure, ensuring sterilization and availability of all necessary surgical instruments and equipment. Assist surgeons and anesthetists during operations by anticipating their needs and maintaining aseptic techniques. Monitor patients' condition before, during, and after surgery, and provide post-operative care as required. Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, instruments, and consumables used. Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols. Manage inventory and maintain adequate stock of OT supplies and medications. Participate in the orientation and training of junior nursing staff and interns. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary surgical team to ensure quality patient care and smooth OT functioning.

Qualifications and Skills:

GNM / B.Sc Nursing / M.Sc Nursing with valid Kerala Nursing Council Registration. Minimum 5 years of experience as an OT Nurse in a reputed hospital. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and infection control. Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure. Willingness to work in shifts and support emergency surgeries.
