E-Commerce Manager

to lead and grow our online sales channels, ensuring compliance with industry regulations while delivering a superior customer experience.

Role Overview:



The

E-Commerce Manager

will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing our online sales strategy for OTC and eligible pharmaceutical products. This role requires strong knowledge of digital platforms, pharmaceutical regulations, and customer behaviour in both B2B and B2C environments. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with marketing, regulatory, supply chain, IT, and external partners to grow e-commerce revenue and brand presence.

Key Responsibilities:



Strategy & Planning:

Develop and implement the e-commerce strategy aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements. Identify growth opportunities across D2C, B2B portals, marketplaces, and pharmacy aggregator platforms.

Platform & Channel Management:

Manage company-owned e-commerce sites (Shopify, Magento, etc.) and optimize UX/UI for conversions. Oversee presence on third-party platforms (e.g., Amazon, PharmEasy, 1mg, Flipkart, etc.).

Product & Content Management:

Ensure accurate product listings, descriptions, images, and regulatory disclaimers across all platforms. Collaborate with marketing and medical affairs teams to ensure compliant messaging.

Sales & Performance Optimization:

Monitor KPIs such as conversion rate, AOV, cart abandonment, and ROAS. Run promotions, A/B tests, SEO/SEM campaigns, and retargeting strategies to drive growth.

Customer Experience & Retention:

Work with CRM and customer support teams to improve retention, loyalty programs, and feedback loops. Ensure efficient order fulfillment, delivery, and post-sale service in line with healthcare standards.

Compliance & Regulatory:

Ensure e-commerce operations are in strict compliance with pharmaceutical regulations (e.g., Schedule H drugs, online pharmacy norms, advertising standards). Liaise with legal and regulatory teams to stay updated on evolving digital health guidelines.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Partner with IT for platform improvements, logistics for order fulfillment, and finance for billing/invoicing setup. Manage relationships with e-commerce agencies, logistics partners, and digital marketing vendors.

Requirements:



Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Pharmacy, or related field (MBA preferred). 6-7 years of experience in e-commerce, preferably within healthcare, pharma, FMCG, or regulated industries. Strong knowledge of digital marketing, analytics tools (Google Analytics, GA4), and e-commerce platforms. Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, WooCommerce, or equivalent. Familiarity with pharmaceutical compliance requirements for online promotion and sale. Analytical mindset with strong project management and communication skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications:



Experience in managing D2C channels for OTC or wellness products. Understanding of India's e-pharmacy ecosystem and regulatory frameworks (e.g., CDSCO, Drug & Cosmetic Act). Knowledge of B2B commerce models with hospitals, clinics, or distributors.
