Open Financial Technologies - Assistant Manager - Legal

- Provide contractual, legal, and regulatory support for all activities of the Company.

- Track banking and payments regulations in India and execute related compliance actions.

- Undertake in-depth legal research into a variety of complex regulations and help implement processes and policies.

- Contract Lifecycle Management: You should have the ability to independently structure, draft, review, negotiate, execute, and maintain contracts efficiently.

- Negotiation: You will be required to negotiate contracts with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders (including regulatory bodies and financial institutions).

- Legal Opinion: You should be able to advise, support and guide stakeholders by providing well-reasoned legal opinions. You will be required to provide general day to day legal advice and support to other departments including Banking Alliances, Product, Finance, Sales & Marketing, People & Culture, Risk & KYC, etc.

- Disputes: You will be required to coordinate with law enforcement and statutory authorities. You should be able to draft notices and prepare responses to notices received by the Company.

- Qualifications: 5 years law degree from a prestigious university in India.

- Experience: 2 to 4 years in general corporate (inhouse or law firm) and end-to-end contract negotiation is mandatory.

- Preference is given to candidates with prior banking or fintech experience, from a regulated financial institution, or a law firm where your work largely involves financial sector laws and regulations.

- Strong written and oral communication skills in English

- Ability to manage a large number and variety of mission-critical projects

- Experience in dealing with a broad range of product compliance issues, including all laws and regulations relating to product compliance.

- Ability to work independently, and advise business teams on legal and compliance matters.
