Key Responsibilities

Order Processing and Validation

: Manage incoming online orders, verify accuracy, payment information, and shipping details, and process them in the Order Management System (OMS) or ERP system.

Logistics and Shipping Management

: Arrange shipping with third-party logistics partners and internal delivery teams, select the most efficient shipping methods/routes, and prepare all necessary delivery documentation/paperwork.

Tracking and Monitoring

: Track orders throughout the entire process, from shop pickup to final delivery. Provide real-time updates and proactive notifications to customers.

Exception and Issue Management

: Identify, analyze, and resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, or delays (e.g., failed deliveries, address problems, damaged goods) in a timely fashion, coordinating with relevant departments to find solutions.

Customer Service

: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints regarding deliveries, returns, and exchanges, ensuring a positive customer experience.

Process Improvement and Reporting

: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates and customer satisfaction ratings. Document processes, analyze data to identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Team Coordination (if applicable)

: Oversee and provide guidance to a delivery team or associate staff, managing workload assignments and ensuring operational excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience

: Prior experience in order management, logistics, supply chain management, or a retail/e-commerce environment is typically required.

Technical Skills

: Proficiency in order management software (OMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and standard office software (e.g., MS Excel). Familiarity with GPS and route optimization tools is also beneficial.

Organizational & Time Management Skills

: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills

: Excellent ability to identify issues, analyze data to find root causes, and implement effective solutions.

Communication Skills

: Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, external vendors, and customers.

Attention to Detail

: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order processing and record keeping, which minimizes errors.

Education

: A high school diploma is a minimum; a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is often preferred for more senior roles.
In essence, the Online Order Delivery Controller ensures a seamless "cart-to-doorstep" experience for the customer while optimizing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the company's delivery operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
