Job description - Piping Designer/Engineer (Offshore Rigs/ Platforms & Ships)
Essential Experience

• A Bachelor / Diploma of Engineering in Mechanical / Marine or relevant degree from recognized university / college.
• Piping designer / Piping Engineer with 6-10 years of experience in Piping P&ID design and 3D modelling of Pipe routing and Isometrics for offshore Rig / Platform & Ship.
• Flow & pressure drop calculations, Equipment / Pump selection, Pipe material selection for Offshore Rig / Platform & Ship.

Preferred Experience

• Piping PFD and P&ID design for different systems for offshore Rig / Platform & Ship.
• Offshore Rig or Ship equipment selection, preparation of equipment specification and datasheets, Feasibility study with respect to existing onboard condition.
• Proficiency and experience in creating 3D models in AutoCad, Cadworks and Solidworks.
• Experience in preparing piping arrangement drawings with all details, Pipe supports, Bill of material, weld etc. directly in AutoCAD.
• Experience in preparing As-built drawings.
• Experience in preparing General arrangement drawings for Ship/Rig & Equipment layout.
• Handle complex drafting assignments under minimal supervision.
• Experience in working where multiple disciplines are working together.
• Manhour estimation and project scheduling.
• Experience in Hull and Accommodation Outfitting will be an advantage.
• Good communication skills.

Matching Indicator:

• A Bachelor / Diploma of Engineering in Mechanical / Marine or relevant degree.
• 4-6 years of experience in Offshore & Marine piping (Offshore Rig / Platform / Ship).
• Knowledge of AutoCad, Cadworks and Solidworks.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Should be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Participate in project review meetings with customer.
• Coordinating with other discipline leads whenever required.
