Job Purpose: Company expert on environmental target setting and energy efficiency strategies Develop and champion a progressive sustainability program with expanded short, medium and long-term science based targets to help Visteon reduce Green House Gas emissions and waste, and contribute to more efficient water and energy consumption Through leadership, education and good practice, support all areas of the business to develop strategies and processes and leverage technology advancements to meet these new sustainability targets in a cost competitive manner Define and track global and facility level audit-quality Environmental KPIs. Report out key Environmental metrics on a monthly basis to Leadership team Ensure that all Visteon global manufacturing, engineering and corporate office facilities are following all applicable environmental laws and regulations while promoting a safety first culture and maintaining company-wide certification to latest environmental standards Act as key point of contact providing environmental target & KPI data to our customers and responding to their requests for additional information on our environmental strategies and targets both during the Pursuit phase and post-sourcing Key Job Responsibilities Lead ongoing approval effort with the Science Based Targets Initiative to set Green House Gas targets aligned to The Paris Climate Accord 1.5 o C aim and Net Zero ambition Lead the monthly global energy efficiency and emissions control meetings Work directly with individual plant teams to help them develop local environmental targets that are aligned to global targets and reflect local energy market conditions Work directly with individual plant teams to evaluate and implement onsite renewable energy projects Identify and translate environmental and sustainability requirements from applicable global and national laws and legislation for manufacturing, engineering and business facilities globally Train and develop Environmental professionals in Visteon global locations Commission and direct external auditors to ensure Visteon meets and maintains all Automotive Electronics Industry environmental standards, oversee ISO 14001 central audit process Review, guide and evaluate Visteon locations on actions to correct issues and recommendations arising from internal and external Environmental audits Knowledge expert in environmental controls, pollution prevention and legal compliance Communicate to Visteon employees at all levels, the importance of complying with these laws and regulations, and maintaining and exceeding environmental compliance through innovative ideas Provide input to Visteon corporate communication material pertaining to Sustainability Provide technical and administrative direction to all levels of the company in support of Sustainability objectives Provide advice to senior management on the implementation of Sustainability policies and procedures and on Environmental legislative requirements Identify opportunities to improve the company\'s operational activities concerning Sustainability and generate performance reports for internal and external circulation Lead the process to set corporate long and short-term goals regarding energy usage and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions Align the company\'s desire to sign up to Science Base Targets for Greenhouse gas emissions with real-world activities and investments needed to set and meet these targets while supporting the company\'s 5-year business plan Engage with national organisations and plant teams to support identification and implementation of appropriate local solutions to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and waste, and contribute to more efficient water and energy consumption Act as a point of contact for customers on Environmental & sustainability issues and responds to customer requests regarding Visteon strategic plan on environmental stewardship and sustainability Support Operations Business Office increased responsibility in global cross-functional facilities management especially as it pertains to sustainability Support MP&L teams in activities to set and track scope 3 targets with logistics and transportation providers Support Procurement teams in communication & training to suppliers regarding their target setting and emissions reduction activities Qualifications Behaviors Preferred Detail Oriented : Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well Functional Expert : Considered a thought leader on a subject Leader : Inspires teammates to follow them
