The team you'll be part of

Mobile Networks, which includes mobile network products, network deployment and technical support services, and related network management. This business group will offer the full portfolio for customers wanting to buy mobile access networks. It target leadership in key technologies such as 5G, ORAN and vRAN.

NPO Stream at GSD is a team of NPO engineers, specialists & experts. NW Design & Optimisation (NWD) comprises the planning and / or managing the planning of communications networks for customers. Covers consultation of customers on communication network performance and optimisation. Covers the execution of end-to-end design- and PLO related activities for deployment projects

What you will learn and contribute to

NW Design & Optimisation (NWD) comprises the planning and / or managing the planning of communications networks for customers.

  • Covers consultation of customers on communication network performance.
  • Contains optimisation and / or managing of the optimisation of customer networks.
  • Covers the execution of end-to-end design-related activities for deployment projects.
  • The Performance & Optimisation Specialist performs solution monitoring, data collection, generation of daily / weekly reports, and a first level of analysis and problem identification in a domain of the customer solution (radio, access, core, application).
  • Performs optimisation in terms of capacity, architecture, performance, analyses counters, and metrics on current capacity and usage. Forecasts traffic patterns to evaluate impact on current and future architecture.
  • Recommends parameters tuning and design evolutions.
Your skills and experience

You have:
  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree (Electrical / Telecommunication) or corresponding experience
  • Experience in the Telecom Industry with minimum 7 years of experience in RF Planning & Optimization for LTE & 5G
  • Deep Knowledge and practice measurement/analysis tool (TEMS, NEMO, XCAL/XCAP or equivalent)
  • Knowledge and practice of Nokia RAN, eNB/gNB parameters and counters
  • Good Communication skill and Solid analytical skills
  • Good presentation skill
  • Autonomously performs tasks with a moderate level of guidance and within guidelines and policies.
  • Analyses factual information and possible solutions, makes independent judgments, decisions and recommendations and solves a range of straightforward problems through knowledge and professional experience.
  • Supports transfer of concepts for professional direction of own organisational unit into actionable measures.
  • Performs network performance assessment, audits and network performance enhancements (optimisation) under moderate level of guidance and within guidelines and processes.
  • Ability to optimise networks based on traffic trends and customer forecasts under moderate guidance.
