We are looking for a talented and ambitious New Business Development & Marketing Manager to help us realise our growth potential. Our clients are change-makers in climate action, public health, education, gender and #Tech4Good. If you\'re passionate about social issues and experienced in putting together winning pitches and proposals then it may be worth a chat with us. We\'d also like you to have some PR experience and lead on our external engagement with media and stakeholders to build the brand further. The New Business and Marketing Manager is responsible for two things: 1. Building the ON PURPOSE brand through marketing and PR 2. Converting incoming leads into clients Your Roles and Responsibilities Consulting Skills - Help win more: Develop strategic PR (PR that includes content and digital) plans that demonstrate an intimate understanding of the industry and competitor landscape, and helps achieve client business goals Proactively support new business development, lead pitch efforts in collaboration with Business Unit Heads Strong research skills and a thorough understanding of how measurement works Write pitch decks getting the required support from the team in terms of research and ideas Manage RFPs and pitch opportunities Be able to prepare high quality documents i.e. final drafts of new business pitches, proposals and social media plans Develop the brand and improve visibility and relevance with key stakeholders: Have a good understanding of our stakeholders - talent, clients, and industry Design and implement a PR plan including thought leadership content, campaigns, and leadership profiling Lead on award submissions Set high professional standards for the team to follow Demonstrates professionalism to support building of the firm\'s reputation in the local market Participate in training and development initiatives as required to acquire the required skills Build a team: Hire and mentor a marketing and business development team, identifying talented team members Provide guidance and support to achieve departmental and company goals Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment Analytics & reporting: Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing efforts and report on key performance metrics Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to marketing strategies Budget managment: Manage the marketing budget effectively and allocate resources for maximum return on investment. How We\'d Expect You To Split Your Time Very thoughtfully. But here\'s an indicative split as a guide: New Business Development: 60% Brand Visibility & Recall: 20% Team Mentorship, reporting and budgeting: 20% What You\'ll Need (must haves for the role) 6 to 8 years\' of proven track record of sales growth and/or marketing in a similar role in a PR agency set up Bachelor\'s degree in marketing, business, finance or a related field Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques Proficiency in drafting proposals, pitch documents, RFPs, monthly reports and Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills Exceptional project management skills Highly organized and solution-oriented Detail-oriented and able to prioritize What Would Be Nice to Have Master\'s degree in marketing, business, finance or a related field Experience of working in social impact sector Experience managing large account portfolios Freshly brewed coffee-making skills.
