Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Supporting the operations and maintenance of the VMWare NSX, VRNI, VROPs, Cisco R&S, Juniper firewall, Vyatta and IPAM Configuring and troubleshooting of VDS, Port-groups, VLAN tagging types, etc.
  • Developing VMware vCenter and VROps reports for performance, troubleshooting and capacity planning.
  • Good understanding in Underlay and overlay networks, VXLAN, Transport Zone, etc.
  • Good understanding and experience in NSX deployment, various communication between NSX manager, controller, Hosts and vCenter, etc.
  • Experience in deployment and troubleshooting of NSX Manager, controllers, Edges, Logical switches and DLR.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of DFW. Configuring and troubleshooting of NSX Load Balancer, IPsec VPN (policy based/route based), SSL VPN, NAT, Multicasting, etc. Configuring and troubleshooting of DLR, Edge routers.
  • Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of routing protocols OSPF and BGP.
  • Good understanding of switching, STP, port-channel, multi chassis trunking/VPC/VSS, etc. Knowledge in NSX-T added advantage.
  • Performing upgrades and applying patches or firmware updates to the virtual infrastructure software or hardware.
  • Providing support for network device hardware failures and assist remotely with hardware replacement. Participating in the on-call support rotation, responding to support calls both during and after business hours/weekends/holidays/shutdowns.
  • Providing configuration management and security compliance for the virtual infrastructure software and hardware.
  • Developing and updating standard operating procedures and user guides.
  • Completing service requests or incidents tickets in support of the virtual infrastructure.
  • Providing technical leadership and assume overall accountability for the successful management and implementation of customer projects.
  • Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all virtual hardware, resources, systems, and key processes.
  • Performing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to expedite incident resolution. Developing scripts to gain efficiencies for reporting and automating repetitive tasks.
  • Evaluating requests for hardware and software; research and recommend solutions which meet or exceed the customer requirements.
  • Assisting with the design and remote installations of physical servers and Hyperconverged hardware for the virtual infrastructure.
  • Providing IT Network Engineering and Systems Engineering support on a wide range of technologies, including: VMWare NSX, Cisco, VMware Workstation, VMWare Vsphere,.
  • VMWare Networking, Routers, Switches, Software-based networking, Firewalls, ACLs, DMZ, VMware, VMWare Networking, Windows Server 2012 R2, Sentris, Active Directory, SAN, Sentris 3, and PKI (two-factor authentication).
  • Ability to work in 24X7 environment and experience in handling provisioning related issues.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Candidate should have Minimum 10+ years of experience in IT domain.
  • VMWare NSX.
  • Supporting the operations and maintenance of the VMWare NSX, vRNI, vROPs, Cisco R&S, Juniper firewall, Vyatta and IPAM.
  • Good understanding of VMware Virtualization and operational Knowledge in vCenter, ESXi host, vRLI, etc.
