You will be working on design, development and integration of Tarana's software-defined 'connectivity cloud' that will handle data plane, control plane, security and remote management of our non-line-of-sight gigabit wireless communication products. You need to have ability to lead features to their completion, to understand issues and come up with optimal solutions to resolve them. • Implementing scalable network/cloud management and provisioning frameworks for software-defined networking and services (SDN)
• Designing services with considerations for scalability, de-centralized management, resilience, failover and inter-operability with customer networks.
• Designing and implementing network and cloud-based services for authentication, encryption, QoS, packet forwarding and spectrum management
• Implementing device management - configuration, software upgrades, CLIs, web GUI etc
• Implementing software for network fault diagnostics, event logging, statistics collection and fault isolation/analysis

Job Responsibilities

• Requirements gathering, high-level design and documentation.
• Interface design, protocol state machine design, and unit test framework design
• Implementation of modules on a C++/Linux system
• Design reviews and code reviews
• Performance optimisation of network and packet processing

Job Requirements

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience or MS and PhD preferred with at least 1 years of relevant experience
• Good foundation of computer networks (TCP/IP), protocols, Internet architecture
• In-depth understanding of Linux programming: IPC, multi-threading, socket-programming, system-programming.
• Strong and proven capabilities in debugging and troubleshooting on Linux operating system
• Experience in C, modern C++ languages
• Knowledge of python, golang, bash scripting is a plus
• Working knowledge of protobuf, gtest, gmock, grpc, build tools (bazel) is desirable
• Experience with version control systems, collaboration tools (wikis, ticket systems)

Good to have experience in one of the following areas:

• Packet forwarding, routing, bridging, switching, VLANs, ethernet services, ethernet OA&M
• Network/cloud management systems and configuration/provisioning/administration systems (SDN, Yang Models, NetConf, LDAP, SNMP, HTTP, OpenFlow)
• Authentication, security, encapsulation and tunnelling technologies (IPSec, CAPWAP, 802.1x etc)
• MAC and network-layer implementation of 802.11, WiMax, LTE or other OFDM standards

• Previous experience in embedded software development for carrier and/or enterprise product telecom is a plus.
